Master Bedroom Reveal

So.... in this low country lovely, the client, as you know has a stunning art collection. This piece by Betty Anglin Smith is gorgeous and makes a statement with it's saturated color. It is quite large at 58"X46" so I knew it had to take a central location in this master so I used it as the jumping off point
The colors are so rich, but I chose the pale blues and purples so not to detract from the art.
The client wanted to use their current bedroom furniture. In their old house, it looked tired. Once I added light bedding and brightened it up with modern accessories, it brought the furniture back to life.
The embroidered pillows are Designer's Guild and look like art all by themselves. I layered the bed with a cotton stitched quilt from Pottery Barn (to cut costs without cutting style and comfort) and added the Pottery Barn linen in smokey aqua.
The washed out oushak rug is from the Coop and the neutral tones are fringed in pink which is subtle yet fun.
This slipcovered chair and ottoman make the perfect reading spot.
Their old desk got a modern lamp and pretty accessories found in the client's old space.
The linen X benches from Maran Home frame the foot of the bed and complete this master retreat.
                     bye bye birdie... -h

Well put together, a space I would enjoy staying in.
So calming with beautiful balance and interest.
