Deck the Halls

Recently, a client asked me to help her decorate their new home for Christmas. This is not one of my strengths. I can do it, but, being the impatient person I am, it isn't my favorite type of decorating so about the time the first strand of lights get tangled, I'm done. So, I called for back up. Edith Kerns has been decorating her own home, my own and friends homes for the last few years and the result is beautiful! Edith and I filled three shopping carts of ornaments, pheasant feathers and cotton bolls to create a low country masterpiece. Check out the result! Thank you Edith! It's beautiful!
The family was planning an office Christmas party complete with bar-b-que and fireworks so the decorations had be stunning and natural all at the same time. The goal was to make it look effortless (even though it wasn't).
Edith added fresh greenery to the banister and tied in some glass ornaments and burlap tassels to add some sparkle.
We mixed the ornaments from their collection (kids' and keepsakes) with some new glass balls, mercury glass and sprigs of cotton, branches and burlap for an organic effect.

I love how it turned out and so do the clients! The party was a big hit and thanks to Edith, it was festive and beautiful!
bye bye birdie...
