Simple and Shiny Dining Room REVEAL!

I heart lucite so in honor of Valentine's Day, I wanted to share the love with you...Recently, I was able to work with a friend to transform her dated dining room into a new space that feels sophisticated and beautiful. It went from being used on the odd occasion to being a place her family wanted to dine and entertain in. Check out the transformation!

The walls got a fresh coat of Ben Moore, "Whale Gray". The red dining room disappeared.
I kept her existing chandelier and had her wide panel drapes cut in half and trimmed in a cool link fabric for interest.  A retro console doubles as both storage and a serving piece. It holds alabaster lamps for lighting and is awaiting a framed antique scarf.
BEFORE, the clients were limited on storage and a dark heavy piece weighed down this wall.
This before shot of the dining room gives a overall vibe of the space prior to the transformation....
NOW, the room is airy, elegant and sophisticated without being stuffy.

The family of four wanted a farm table with distressing so wear and tear wouldn't show. I found a beautiful table with simple clean lines to accent my MOST FAVORITE PART OF THE ROOM....
Can you guess? Yep. 1940's lucite and brass chairs. They are stunning and the perfect addition to this simple, yet elegant dining room.

What do you think? Dinner anyone?
bye bye birdie...
